The project was undertaken in 2007 in conjunction with Bam Construction for Argyle and Bute Council to facilitate the growing number of pupils in the surrounding areas. Being one of the largest Schools in Scotland and situated uniquely both in the Highlands and lowlands due to the Highland Faultline and with the project being “on our doorstep” this was a welcome change.
The project provided a perfect opportunity for us to bring in a number of our long standing
specialist suppliers whom we worked very closely with to manage and competently complete the project on programme to the high standards of the client and the Price Business. The roof install consisted of the various systems – Twin skin built up roof with Aluminium Standing seam, Protan membrane to plant decks with concrete slabs laid over onto the Protan support stool system, Structural glazing to the ridges and specialist site welding to the detailed roof junctions.
The cladding mainly consisted of Kingspan composite panels fitted horizontally whilst the gym hall and main entrance was completed with the use of black cement board for its sharp and striking appearance.
